Willsmere residents and their guests are warmly invited to Unclassified, an exhibition curated, designed, and created for , by Masters of Communication Design students at RMIT University.
Willsmere has a long and complex history. Established in the 19th century as the Kew Asylum, it was a place where individuals were classified and confined according to the social and cultural values of the time. This exhibition draws from that history, exploring how definitions of madness were shaped by institutional systems, and what that means for how we understand this place today.
