The protocols for the Hard Rubbish area will change as of Friday 14th May. From this time the corral will be locked and all rubbish disposal (into the corral) will need to be arranged through the Building Manager - by phone or email.

The Building Manager will either meet you at the corral at a prearranged time, or assist you taking the material to the corral from your home if it is bulky, or if you cannot transport it there yourself provided this falls within OH&S regulations.

We have had to change the protocol as a number of people have deposited rubbish that cannot be taken by the council, including paint tins, building rubble, large quantities of carpet and pallets and we had to pay for this rubbish to be taken away. The corral is also unsightly and unsafe inside and has been damaged due to the way in which some residents have unloaded their waste.

Do not dump your rubbish in front of the corral at any time. This area is under 24h CCTV monitoring. If you are renovating, you must get your contractor to remove all building material, excluding items that are permitted to be deposited in the corral, such as fridges and washing machines.

The Willsmere website hard rubbish page contains a detailed list of what is and is not allowed and has been updated to reflect the new policy.  There is currently a list inside the corral detailing allowed items and this will be moved to the outside next week.
