April's hard rubbish collection by the council has been postponed 1 week from April the 19th to April the 26th due to Good Friday public holiday. Normal hard rubbish operations will resume on April the 26th with the next two collections following on the 17th of May and the 14th of June, 2019. New dates to be allocated soon.

To request hard waste removal by the council, please contact Willsmere’s Facility Manager Jay Murray on 0466 554 534 up to 5 days before the nearest date listed to get approval to place items at the collection area.

To help with collection for processing facilities, separate your hard waste into 4 piles:

  1. General hard waste: for example, old kettles, toasters, plates and cups, furniture, wood (no fencing).
  2. Mattresses and Electronic waste:: mattresses and bed bases, computers and monitors, TVs and DVD players.
  3. Larger steel metal items: for example, washing machines, dishwashers, fridges (for safety reasons, tape all doors shut) and small car parts.

NO Building Materials!   for example, bricks/concrete, wood or metals longer than 1.5 meters etc.

For more detailed information, please read the hard rubbish brochure provided by the city of Boroondara.
