Isolating and Quarentining via an Airbnb in Willsmere during COVD19

As a community, we want to protect any vulnerable Willsmere residents by limiting exposure to people who are unwell. If you offer an AirBnB for rent in Willsmere, there is additional information and actions required to prevent the spread. Please read the information below and make clear expectations about self-isolation and going outside into common grounds if renting in Willsmere.

What does Self Isolation / Self Quarenteen in Willsmere look like? Self-isolation means staying at in the apartment or townhouse you have rented for 14 days. This is to prevent the possible spread of the virus to other people. This means you:

  • do not leave your apartment or townhouse unless it is an emergency
  • do not go outside the apartment or townhouse into the Willsmere grounds or use the shared facilities
  • do not let visitors into the Willsmere grounds and avoid contact with other residents

If you are isolating at a Willsmere apartment or townhouse, ask others who are not in isolation to get food and necessities for you. If you are renting an Airbnb, this must be organised with the owner of the property as part of the booking system - online delivery can be difficult in Willsmere.

What about going outside? Willsmere is a private residential estate. If you are unwell and want to go onto the common grounds, you must:

  • wear a surgical mask to minimise risk to others •stay 1.5 metres from other people
  • move quickly through common areas
  • limit contact and disinfect shared surfaces such as door handles•cover your cough and sneeze
  • avoid physical greetings such as handshaking, hugs and kisses

This means that you should include in the apartment or townhouse, antibacterial hand sanitizer, disposable gloves and wipes, hand soap, paper towels, tissues and toilet paper. You must make clear • that getting food delivered is challenging, and how you will support them in getting food delivered •the need to retain rubbish in the townhouse until the end of the 14-day isolation and explain how you will collect and dispose of their rubbish for them
