As a follow on from our last update, the contract with Commercial Pool Systems is running well and forms two parts.  The first is the regular ongoing maintenance and the second is to performs repairs and a minor facelift before this Summer. 

In July we mentioned that there would be a period seemingly no activity while the required parts were being fabricated.  We can now report that those parts are ready and the schedule is under way.  The current plan is that the pool will be drained in the first week of October and during that time, broken pipes will be located and replaced and the interior will be painted.  Once the paint is cured the pool can be refilled.  We have been told that this should happen by the end of October/first week of November.  Any damaged items around the pool (eg fencing) will also be repaired.  The previous update contained a more detailed outline of the scope of works.

This activity should see the pool continue to be a great asset for all residents and guests for the next five or more years.  During that time, the CoM (and subsequent CoMs) will be investigating options to upgrade the pool using funds from the long term maintenance plan budget to ensure we grow and evolve with the community.
