Please note that the Willsmere Bus Service will effectively terminate this afternoon (April 5th). The contract actually terminates on April 18th 2019, which is during the school holidays, and will not resume in Term 2.
We know this will be difficult for many residents and we apologise for the inconvenience this will cause. The Committee of Management has no choice but to comply with the previous VCAT ruling and the legislation relevant to the bus service.
We have requested that VCAT issue a final ruling on the exact termination date of the contract as there has been some dispute over this date. Should a determination be made that the contract should run to April 18th 2020, the service will most likely resume and run to April 2020, in line with that decision.
The Committee of Management will conduct a special resolution of all owners at the earliest possible opportunity, to determine whether and what type of Bus Service is offered in the future. This will be a task for the newly appointed Committee to focus on.
